Me, still searching in where those years have gone but always inspired by your writings. I have a feeling I will get that "a-ha!" soon enough. Celebrating you and many fun memories in the making this month and beyond.
I so miss your voice Kim..I too just turned 60 and find myself often invoking some version of the 20, 30, dare-I-say 40 years ago construction. You nailed something about what it feels like to be this age in the world..Hit me up if you ever come east. Would love to celebrate 60 with you! xx, Marci
It is your Kanreki year! The first time the planets are aligned as they were when you were born. Japanese believe this is a rebirth! This year is to sift and sort, let go of what no longer serves you, prepare for a new life with child-like wonder and freedom. It's a great process! Congratulations!
Happy birthday, Kim, and thanks for the thoughtful remembrance of your younger self. I had a similar reminiscence today (not prompted by a birthday exactly) when I remembered 1975, when I thought "what will I be doing/have accomplished" in the year 2000? Well, I'd become a CEO twice, was 25 years into what would be a 46-year marriage. And like you, I'm pleased with the person I've been, and become. (including another marriage!)

Best most adventurous decade? 60s!
I believe it! Just turned 60 in June and feel like I've been waiting my whole life for this freedom and sense of possibility I am stepping into
Oh Dorie, I feel that. Happy 60, gurl. I think this kind of shift requires months, if not the whole year!
I found the Me I lost in my commited-to-family in my 30s!
Oh Miz J, thank you for weighing in + here’s to recovering our long lost selves!
You have NO idea just how transformative the 60s can be. Grab the opportunity, you glorious person, you!
Very exciting!! All of it.
Thank you, sweet Deird! Big love.
She heard you, Love. Happy 60th. 1966 was a vintage year.
Ohh Karla. Thank you sweetheart. Honored to have you in my corner.
